Doral International Art Fair announces its second edition and the call for artists

Miami.- The second edition of the Doral International Art Fair (DIAF) will be held from November 7 to 10, 2024 at the Doral Cultural Arts Center, in Miami-Dade, with the aim of fusing passion for art with diversity cultural.

The event will give special recognition to Ella Fontanals-Cisneros for her commitment to promoting Latin American culture and will commemorate Sofía Ímber’s 100th birthday.

The announcement was attended by the mayor of Doral, Christi Fraga, and councilman Rafael Pineyro. Likewise, the executive director of the fair, Jesús Fuenmayor, shared the details with university authorities, business associations and artistic personalities.
“The new edition hopes to double the successful results of 2023,” the organizers noted.

The DIAF celebrates creativity in all its forms. It brings together visual artists, sculptors, painters and art lovers in a space where cultural expressions converge and showcase multiculturalism.

In the first edition, held in November 2023, hundreds of people, more than 20 galleries and 80 artists of different nationalities participated. The activity became a prelude to the great fairs presented in South Florida.

The executive director, Dr. Jesús Alberto Fuenmayor, explained that visitors will be able to enjoy works that show a wide range of styles and techniques, presented by new and experienced artists.

“There will also be talks and workshops, led by experts who will share knowledge about the art world, as well as live performances and a recreation area to relax and enjoy the beauty of art,” he added.

Within the framework of the DIAF, a special recognition will be given to Ella Fontanals-Cisneros, for her commitment to the promotion of Latin American culture. In addition, a tribute will be held in commemoration of the 100 years of Sofía Ímber, a prominent journalist and promoter of culture.
