Trump puts $399 sneakers on sale with his initial

The Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump presented this Saturday at a sneaker convention in Philadelphia a line of sneakers with the name ‘Never Surrender’ for $399 per pair (about 371 euros).

Shortly after going on sale, Trump himself published a message on his social network, TruthSocial, announcing that one of the models is already sold out. “SOLD OUT. The ‘Never Surrender’ high-top sneakers are officially sold out. Thank you!” he posted.

The launch of the Trump Sneakers has been accompanied by an auction in which a bidder has managed to obtain a pair of these sneakers signed by the former president for a bid of $9,000.

The sneakers feature a rich gold color, the blue and red colors of the American flag, and a large T on the side and tongue. A second cheaper model has a red and white version and costs $199.

“We have been talking about this for about 12 or 13 years, I think they are going to be a great success,” Trump himself noted this Saturday from Philadelphia, according to the American portal The Hill.

The website where the sneakers are sold also sells a Victory 47 Cologne and a Victory 47 Perfume for $99 each. None of these products are directly linked to the presidential campaign or the Trump Organization, but rather are a license granted to the company CIC Ventures LLC.

Joe Biden’s presidential campaign has mocked this presentation. “Donald Trump presents pirated Air Force sneakers. It is the closest he will be to Air Force One in his remaining life,” said the communications director of the Biden campaign, Michael Tyler.
