A judge in New York (United States) has ordered this Wednesday the declassification of more than 2,000 pages of documents related to the case of billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, accused of pedophilia and trafficking of minors and who at some point rubbed shoulders with personalities such as Prince Andrew of England – the son of Elizabeth II -, Bill Clinton or Donald Trump.
The documents, which are the first to be published in relation to the aforementioned case, could include up to 200 names, including Epstein’s accusers, prominent businessmen and political figures, as published by the CNN television network.
These reports are part of a 2015 defamation case filed by Virginia Giuffre against Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s ex-girlfriend who allegedly collaborated in the abuse of minors.
Epstein was arrested in July 2019 on charges of sexually abusing and trafficking dozens of girls in the early 2000s; The billionaire took his own life by hanging himself in his New York jail cell in August 2019 after a series of “negligences and failures,” according to the US Department of Justice.
