Israel receives a list of the hostages who will be released by Hamas this Sunday

The Government of Israel has reported that it has received a list of hostages held in the Gaza Strip who are expected to be released this Sunday by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) under the agreement between the parties.

The Israeli Prime Minister’s office has indicated in a statement published on the social network and has assured that “security officials are reviewing it.”

“On behalf of the coordinator for Hostages and Missing Persons, Brigadier General Gal Hirsch, the information has been transmitted to the families of the hostages,” they added from the prime minister’s office, asking the media to “have the due caution”.

The Government has also added that “additional reliable information will be provided as necessary” and have demanded that “rumors and unofficial information” not be spread.

The Israeli Government released 39 Palestinian prisoners this Friday and, in return, Hamas did the same with 24 hostages – 13 of them Israeli, although ten Thai citizens and one Filipino have been released outside the framework of the agreement – kidnapped. since last October 7.

Already this Saturday, Hamas released a group of 17 hostages, who were handed over to the International Committee of the Red Cross before being transferred through Rafah to Egyptian territory and from there to Israeli territory.

For its part, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar has announced the release of 39 Palestinian prisoners, thirteen Israeli hostages and seven foreign hostages within the framework of the truce agreement.

The pact between the parties establishes as an objective the release of 50 hostages held in Gaza in exchange for 150 Palestinian prisoners. The Government of Benjamin Netanyahu had warned that it would not complete its part until the first kidnapped people had been released.
