Los Angeles.- The Mexican, Natalia Lafourcade, the Panamanian, Rubén Blades, the Puerto Rican Marc Anthony, the Brazilian band Boca Livre and the Spanish Rosalía, won the announced at the Premiere Ceremony of the 65th edition of the Grammy Award.
One of the surprises of the night was Natalia Lafourcade who competed in the category for best regional Mexican music where the ranchero, Tejano and banda genres were included, she was the winner with “Un Canto por México-El Musical”.
In the Latin pop album category, the winner was the album “Pasieros” by Rubén Blades & Boca Livre, beating Christina Aguilera “Aguilera”), Camilo (“De Adentro Pa Afuera”), Fonseca (“Viajante”) and Sebastián Yatra ( “Dharma+”).
Marc Anthony, won the Tropical Album award with “Pa’ya Voy”, a category where the band La Santa Cecilia participated with “I want to see you happy”, Víctor Manuelle with “Lado A Lado B”, Tito Nieves with “Legendary”, Spanish Harlem Orchestra with “Images Latinas” and “Cumbiana II”, by the Colombian Carlos Vives.
The Spanish Rosalía won the award for best Latin or alternative rock album for her album “Motomami”.
Latin Jazz Album the winner was Orchestra Featuring The Congra Patria Son Jarocho Collective.
Non-Classical Producer of the Year: Jack Antonoff.
Composer of the Year, Non-Classical: Tobias Jesso Jr.
