The Senate of the Republic implemented a modern computer platform from Google, with the purpose of expanding, improving and renewing the digital infrastructure in the Upper House, with institutional management and cybersecurity systems.
The presentation of the modern technological platform was carried out in a special act, headed by the president of the Senate, Eduardo Estrella, and Google’s commercial vice president for Latin America, Guy Nae, who traveled to the country to guarantee the support of the American company. in the implementation of the services contracted by the Upper House.
“We appreciate the receptivity that we have received from the collaborators of this institution, during this process of computer renewal, by showing their enthusiasm and interest in putting into practice the special training that is part of the implementation of this system,” said the president. of the Senate of the Republic, Eduardo Estrella.
The new Google system in the Senate, through the Workspace tool, will strengthen the productivity of employees with the automation of processes, which will help optimize and simplify tasks and procedures within the institution, including senatorial offices , legislative and administrative.
Google’s commercial vice president for Latin America, Guy Nae, highlighted the digital transformation in the Senate of the Republic as an extraordinary achievement.

Know that you have an ally willing to support you in all the initiatives you undertake, and we make our entire technological infrastructure available to you,” said Guy, Google’s commercial vice president.
Among the advantages of the Senate-Google agreement, which contemplates the acquisition of 650 Workspace licenses for the next three years, the improvements in quality and response time in the different services offered by the legislative body to citizens stand out, with a safe and efficient system.
With the office automation platform, the Senate of the Republic is at the forefront of technological advances for managing legislative and administrative management with cybersecurity tools, which will generate cost savings due to the significant reduction in the use of paper .
For the implementation of Google Workspace, a training session was held for employees of the Senate of the Republic, so that they can perform their functions in an agile and interactive manner.
For two years, the Senate of the Republic has advanced in a process of institutional modernization, with the incorporation of state-of-the-art technology to improve the work of collaborators, strengthen the functions of senators and make legislative activity transparent.
