Season 4 of Stranger Things will not arrive until 2022 and premieres a new trailer

It’s official: there will be no new episodes of ‘Stranger Things’ in 2021. Netflix has released a new preview of the acclaimed fiction with which it confirms that the series will return … in 2022. The fourth season will premiere approximately two years and a half after the previous delivery, which arrived in July 2019.

The new ad is, above all, a summary of scenes from the first three seasons, with some previously unreleased sequences from the fourth batch. A longer version of this preview, of just 30 seconds, will be seen during the coverage of the Tokyo Olympics on NBC during the night of this Friday, August 6, local time.

Promotion for the fourth season began on February 14, 2020, when a teaser was released teasing the return of Hopper (David Harbor). The second trailer focused on Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and was released in May of this year and hinted at the return of Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine).

The main reason for the delay of the fourth season of ‘Stranger Things’ is the COVID-19 pandemic. The filming of the new episodes began in February of last year. However, just a month later, it had to be suspended due to the outbreak of the pandemic. It was in September 2020 that the recordings resumed.
