Specifically, the Spanish section of the website was deactivated in 2017 and, although Trump’s first press secretary, Sean Spicer, said that the page would be restored, it was ultimately not carried out. However, the Spanish account of the White House on Twitter remained active during this period.
The lack of a space in Spanish on the White House website highlighted the anti-immigration policy of the former president, who on several occasions pointed out that in the United States “English is spoken, not Spanish,” reports CNN.
