The return of center Karl-Anthony Towns, who shone with a ‘double-double’ of 25 points and 13 rebounds, was not enough for the locals to prevail at the Target Center in Minéapolis against some Spurs who arrived at the appointment after winning in Los Angeles to Clippers and Lakers.
Overtime finally doomed the ‘Wolves’. In 33 minutes, point guard Ricky Rubio had 6 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds coming off the bench, while power forward Juancho Hernangómez started with 5 points and 7 rebounds in 23 minutes.
