The Vatican Museums, the Pontifical Villas and the Excavations under Saint Peter’s Basilica will close their doors again to prevent the advance of the pandemic from this Thursday until December 3.
As reported by the Vatican Press Office, it is a measure that is part of the new provisions limiting social mobility and restricting commercial activities contemplated in the new decree signed by the Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, to contain the rate of infections throughout the territory that this Tuesday added 28,200 cases and 353 deaths.
The new measures have still been published and therefore lack official status, but the Italian media have already advanced them. In the first wave, the surfaces of museums that can be visited by the tourists of the Holy See were closed for two months, from March 8 to April 3.
