The World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed this Saturday a daily record of new cases of coronavirus registered worldwide with more than 259,000 positives in the last 24 hours.

Specifically, the WHO has specified that 259,848 cases have been added in the last day, so the total number of positives has reached 13.8 million, as reported by the organization.

Likewise, it has indicated that on Saturday 7,360 deaths have been added internationally, which has increased the number of deaths to 593,087.

At the forefront is the American continent, with more than 7.3 million cases and 151,531 infections in the last 24 hours. In addition, it registers more than 300,000 deaths from coronavirus, 4,653 of them this Saturday. Behind him is Europe, with more than three million infections and 206,000 deaths.
