LinkedIn allows users to add audios to say how their name is pronounced

The professional social network LinkedIn has added a new feature to its platform whereby users can record audio clips so that other people know how to pronounce their name.

The company has stated in a statement that starting this week it will introduce this new function. Users will be able to record audio clips of up to 10 seconds, which will be displayed on their profile.

Members of the platform will be able to listen to the audios in the profile of other users to “better understand their pronunciation preference” so that people can ensure that they say their name correctly.

This feature to add the audios will reach the LinkedIn application for Android and iOS mobile devices, but it will not be available in the desktop version. However, they can be played on all platforms.

To record the audio clip, LinkedIn reminds its help center that users must speak slowly and pronounce each syllable clearly, and keep the device about 10 centimeters away.
