The One World: Together at Home concert, broadcast this Saturday from the homes of some of the best-known artists on the planet, has raised $ 127.9 million (about 117.6 million euros) that They will go to the World Health Organization (WHO), specifically to its Solidarity Response Fund against WHO’s Covid-19.

Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, the Rolling Stones or Maluma have participated in the initiative, an eight-hour concert organized by Global Citizen: “$ 127.9 million for aid against the Covid-19. That is the power and the impact of One World: #TogetherAtHome “, the group published this Sunday. “I am very proud to have been able to participate in this project,” Lady Gaga replied later.

The concert has been divided into two parts, six hours in advance and two hours of concert presented by Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert. It all started with an emotional dedication labeled: “For all the workers who are on the front line: we are with you. Thank you for being there for us.”

Then each artist made their own dedication, like Lady Gaga, who thanked the health personnel, who “are right now risking their lives for us.” Other musicians have highlighted the solidarity expressed during the pandemic.

“In difficult times like this we have to lean on each other to help us,” said Stevie Wonder before performing “Lean on Me,” a song dedicated to her late friend Bill Withers.

Taylor Swift, Elton John, Paul McCartney or Jennifer López have also participated in the concert, while the Rolling Stones performed ‘You Can’t Always Get What You Want’ from four different venues. The broadcast also told stories of health personnel in direct connection.
