Spain registers more than 17,100 cases and 767 deaths

The cases of the new coronavirus in Spain have risen this Thursday to 17,147 (3,431 more than Wednesday) and 767 deaths (169 more than yesterday), according to the latest data published by the Ministry of Health and which show that, currently, 939 people are in an intensive care unit and 1,107 have been cured.

As in the rest of the days of the coronavirus pandemic, whose disease is known as Covid-19, the Community of Madrid continues to be the most affected region, where 6,777 cases and 498 deaths have already been detected.

In the rest of the autonomous communities, the figures stand at 2,702 people in Catalonia, 1,190 in the Basque Country, 1,008 in Andalusia, 921 in the Valencian Community, 868 in Castilla y León, 801 in Castilla-La Mancha and 482 in Navarra.

Likewise, Aragón has 281 cases, Asturias with 292, Balearic Islands with 169, Canarias 220, Cantabria 83, Ceuta 1, Extremadura 241, Galicia 453, Melilla 23, Murcia 167 and La Rioja 468.
