Cuba attacks Trump for his statements in the speech on the State of the Union

Cuba has attacked on Wednesday against the president of the United States, Donald Trump, for his statements in the speech on the State of the Union, in which he alluded to “restore democracy” on the Caribbean island, Venezuela and Nicaragua.

“If President Trump wanted to support the people of Cuba, he would have to lift the genocidal blockade, resume banned flights and grant visas to Cubans,” said Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, through his Twitter account. “It should restore the freedom to travel to Cuba to Americans,” he added.

Trump referred to Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua during the speech while paying homage to the self-proclaimed Venezuelan “president in charge,” Juan Guaidó, who attended the speech by the US president. “We are supporting the hopes of Cubans, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans to restore democracy,” Trump said.
