Sony unveils the PlayStation 5 logo

Sony has unveiled in Las Vegas, within the framework of CES 2020, the logo of its next-generation video game console, PlayStation 5, which follows the design of its predecessor, a console that, in addition, has achieved sales of 106 million units throughout the world.

The president and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, Jim Ryan, has unveiled at the presentation of Sony at CES the new PlayStation 5 logo, which maintains a design very similar to that of PlayStation 4: black background, the PS logo and the Name of the console with the blank typeface, this time, with the number 5.

The company plans to launch this new hardware later this year. With it they hope to “offer the greatest and best content” and “unique experiences to players with unprecedented speed.”

Ryan has also reported that PlayStation 4 has reached a cumulative sales figure of more than 106 million units worldwide, and PlayStation Network has reached 106 million monthly active users.

Ryan has also shared that 1.150 million games, 5 million virtual reality helmets (Playstation VR) have been sold worldwide and the PS Plus service has 38.8 million subscribers.
