US Congressman Elijah Cummings, one of the key figures in the preparations for the possible political trial against the president, Donald Trump, has died this Thursday morning from “complications” resulting from a health problem that has not transpired.
His office has confirmed the death in a brief statement sent to the media and in which he has reported that Cummings, 68, has died at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
Cummings, with more than two decades of experience in the House of Representatives, has previously served as chairman of the Supervision and Reform Commission and had become one of the leading exponents of the possible ‘impeachment’ of Trump, whom he has faced publicly
