J Balvin and Bad Bunny, two of the most popular and successful Latin stars of the moment, today released the joint album “Oasis”, which contains eight songs in which the Colombian reggaeton and the Puerto Rican ragman have joined forces.
The publication of “Oasis” comes accompanied by the premiere of the video clip of the first single, which is entitled “Qué pretendes”.
“Now you want to come back, for what reason, tell me why,” is heard at the beginning of this song that condenses the styles of these artists who have taken the Latin urban genre to the top.
“What do you mean by calling me at this time?” I already know that attitude, you know what to do very well to wrap me up, but this time it’s too late “, they sing in the refrain of this theme about the clash between desire and lack of love.
The album, which ranges from reggaeton to trap and includes light touches of Latin folklore and jazz, presents seven other songs: “Mojaíta”, “Yo llego”, “Cuidao por ahí”, “La canción”, “Un peso” ( with Marciano Cantero de Enanitos Verdes as guest), “I hate” and “Like a baby” (with Mr Eazi as a companion).
“I am proud to say that I love Bad Bunny,” J Balvin said in a statement released today by Universal.
“It always seems that we are on the same wavelength, since he likes what I like, it is also about celebrating our culture, while remaining humble.” Working again with Benito (Bad Bunny) has been one of My greatest musical joys, I am blessed not only to call him my brother, but now I am a member of an album that has even become a personal oasis, “he argued.
Bad Bunny, for his part, pointed out that “‘Oasis’ is a transcendental and refreshing album: it comes to your rescue, to give you a relief.”
“An oasis supplies you with what you need and helps you find what you lack spiritually: that represents this album, we have worked on it for a long time, and finally, we find its perfect moment.” Working with J Balvin has been, without a doubt, an experience without equal, I have always admired and respected it a lot and we have had an excellent vibration throughout this process, “he added.
Although “Oasis” is their first album with four hands, J Balvin and Bad Bunny are friends and allies in musical battles of all kinds, have shared the stage on numerous occasions and have collaborated on several very successful songs like “I Like It” by Cardi B.
Both performed this year on the main stage of Coachella, one of the most important and influential music festivals in the world and, in its edition of 2019, surrendered to the strength and success throughout the world of Latin rhythms.
