Kit Harington, star of “Game of Thrones”, admitted to rehabilitation

Los Angeles, .- Kit Harington, the British actor who played Jon Snow in “Game of Thrones”, entered a rehabilitation clinic shortly before the end of the HBO series was broadcast to treat some “personal problems”, US media reported on Tuesday.

“Kit has decided to use this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time in a wellness center to work on some personal problems,” a spokesperson for the interpreter said in a statement.

The actor’s circle reacted in this way to the news posted earlier today by the portal Page Six, which ensured that Harington began a treatment against stress and alcohol addiction weeks before “Game of Thrones” issued its expected last episode last may 19.

According to the information of Page Six, the actor has been in treatment for almost a month in an exclusive clinic in Connecticut (USA).
Harington, 32, has received psychological help and has practiced meditation within her therapy to combat stress and other personal problems.

“He is in the clinic mainly because of stress and exhaustion and also because of alcohol,” said a friend of the actor to Page Six.
“His wife Rose Leslie (Ygritte in ‘Game of Thrones’) is being extremely understanding, and all of his close friends really want him to rest, right now, he just needs peace and quiet,” he added.

In recent months, Harington has spoken on several occasions about the enormous pressure he has felt as one of the protagonists of the greatest television super-production in history and about the serious effects that this had on his mental health.
“It was not a good time in my life,” the actor told Variety about the time when his character Jon Snow died and was resurrected in the series.

“I felt I had to feel like I was the luckiest person in the world when, in reality, I felt very vulnerable, I had an unstable moment in my life, as I think a lot of people are in their twenties,” he added.

Harington is not the only “Game of Thrones” actor to have revealed health problems recently.
Emilia Clarke, who played Daenerys in the fiction, revealed in March to the New Yorker magazine that she suffered two aneurysms while filming the series.

In addition, Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner, who gave birth to Arya Stark and Sansa Stark, respectively, also claimed in recent months that fame and social networks have harmed their mental health. (EFEUSA)
