Lima, May 23 .- Peruvian Blue Cross midfielder Yoshimar Yotún opened Thursday the doors to the possibility that his countryman, friend and teammate in the Peruvian team Renato Tapia will return to the Mexican team.
Questioned by the option that Tapia also dress in blue, Yotún said that, if he went for it, he was already waiting for him in the Mexican club because “he is a great companion and friend, and it is very easy to play alongside him”.
Yotún and Tapia are the fixtures in the midfield of the Peruvian team for three years and are part of the backbone that led to Blanquiroja to qualify for the World Cup after 36 years.
At the end of Peru’s first training for the Copa America, Tapia said he will not make a decision about his future until he finishes his commitment to the national team.
The 23-year-old midfielder has a contract with the Dutch Feyenoord but the last half year he played on loan at Willem II, where for the first time since he arrived in Holland in 2013 he could have continuity and add sixteen games played, with a goal scored .
For his part, Yotún, 29, is at Cruz Azul since the beginning of the year, where he has played seventeen games and scored a goal.
