2-0. Maeda did it all, recipe 12 strikeouts and drives two against the Padres

Los Angeles (USA), .- Japanese starter Kenta Maeda retired 12 batters through the punch and towed the two runs of the Los Angeles Dodgers, who won 2-0 to the San Diego Padres .

The Dodgers placed their season record at 29-16 after crediting their third straight win and remain in charge of the National League West Division.

From the mound, Maeda (5-2) threw six innings and two thirds and got the win by allowing three hits and removing 12 batters via punch.

The right-handed pitcher struck double-digit strikeouts for the fifth time in the majors, but finished just one to equal the mark in his career, which he established in 2016, too, against the Padres.

While on the offensive, in the second inning, Maeda singled to right field and towed the only two runs scored during the entire match.

Maeda became the Dodgers’ first pitcher with two hits and two RBIs in a game since Zack Greinke made it in 2014.

Los Padres lost to starter Matt Strahm (1-3) in five job innings. (EFE)
