Los Angeles, .- The British actor Richard Madden, known for having played Robb Stark in “Game of Thrones”, is negotiating his incorporation to the Marvel Studios film “The Eternals”, whose cast was already Angelina Jolie, reported today the specialized medium The Wrap.
Kumail Nanjiani, from the television comedy “Silicon Valley” and the movie “The Big Sick” (2017), also appeared in the cast of this superhero film directed by the Chinese director Chloé Zhao, who was very successful among the criticism with his movie “The Rider” (2017).
Madden won the Golden Globe this year as best actor in a drama series thanks to “Bodyguard”.
This year will premiere “Rocketman”, the film about the life of Elton John starring Taron Egerton, and in 2020 he will present “1917”, film about the First World War by filmmaker Sam Mendes (“American Beauty”, 1999) and where he shares credits with actors like Benedict Cumberbatch, Colin Firth or Mark Strong.
Based on the homonymous comics created by Jack Kirby, “The Eternals” will focus on characters called Eternal who have extraordinary powers, which are almost immortal and were created by cosmic beings called Celestials.
In front of the Eternals the Deviant appear, representing the monstrous and evil branch of the work of the Celestials.
The big screen version of “The Eternals” will feature a script written by cousins Matthew and Ryan Firpo.
“The Eternals” is one of the projects that Disney is preparing for the future of Marvel Studios, which closed a stage of its ambitious cinematographic universe with the premiere two weeks ago of “Avengers: Endgame”.
