6-3. Reyes connects pair of home runs and Padres beat Mariners leaders

San Diego (USA), .- The Ranger Dominican Franmil Reyes showed the power of his battery and hit home runs for the San Diego Padres, who won 6-3 to the Seattle Mariners in interleague series play.

With their second straight win, the Padres outscored the Division leaders the Mariners, who have added two straight losses and seven in the last 10 games.

The Padres have won five straight games in the interleague series. They won all four games last year after both teams did not play each other in the 2017 season.

Reyes (6) started his power attack in the second episode by hunting the serpentine of starter Erik Swanson leading a runner ahead.

The Dominican again beat Swanson in the sixth episode when the ball disappeared, with no companions on the trails, when there was one out in the inning.

Reyes hit 2 of 4, drove in three runs and scored twice and has five homers this season, in his second game with at least two homers in his career.

On the mound victory was achieved by starter Nick Margevicious (2-2) in five innings, he accepted four hits and two runs.
The Mariners, leaders in the Western Division of the American League, lost with Swanson (0-2) in five and two thirds, accepting seven hits, two homers and five runs. (EFE)
