San Juan, – Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi will launch at midnight today, on all digital platforms, the single “Date la vuelta”, which includes the collaboration of Puerto Rican reggaeton Nicky Jam and Colombian Sebastián Yatra.
According to Fonsi explained in a press release, he composed the song with Andrés Torres and Mauricio Rengifo, with whom he said he has worked in the past two years composing other songs like “Despacito”, “Échame La Culpa”, “Calypso” and “Impossible”, so “we had the desire to do something cheerful, with an easy to sing lyrics, that has its romantic touch, but also rhythmic”.
“That’s why these two greats, Nicky and Sebastian, accompany me, because they have always known how to mix both,” said Fonsi.
On Nicky Jam, Fonsi affirmed that “he has always” been a fan of it “because he uses a lot of melody inside his ‘flow’ (urban style) and they have a spectacular voice”
And, about Yatra, “for me it represents what is the new pop, which merges several genres at once without abandoning the romanticism”.
“It’s the perfect chemistry to bring a positive message of joy and enjoyment to our Latino audience,” emphasized Fonsi about the collaboration with the other two artists.
The three artists, in turn, will perform the song live for the first time on Thursday during the ceremony of the Billboard Latin Awards, which are held in Las Vegas.
