Mexico, – An earthquake of preliminary magnitude 5.7 shook the southern Mexican state of Guerrero on Monday and was felt in the capital of the country, where the alarms of the seismic alert did not sound, without recording damage so far.

The National Seismological Service informed through social networks that the earthquake took place at 15:15 local time (20.15 GMT) 65 kilometers southwest of the municipality of Ometepec, in Guerrero.

The tremor was felt slightly in Mexico City, where hundreds of people evacuated offices from the main avenues, although the seismic warning system was not activated.
