Rapper Carbi B rejected on Friday a judicial agreement in which she had to plead guilty in a case of alleged assault on two waitresses at a strip club last August.
Belcalis Almanzar – her real name – of 26 years and tried for two minor crimes of aggression and recklessness, went briefly a court in the New York district of Queens and did not want to avail herself of the offer of the accusation, so she must return to the court on May 31, according to local media.
Dressed in an elegant white suit and long yellow nails, the artist, born in the New York borough of Bronx, let her lawyer, Jeff Kern, communicate the decision to the judge, according to the PageSix website.
Nor did he comment on the departure of the courts, where a group of supporters awaited him.
Almanzar and her team allegedly assaulted by throwing bottles, chairs and a pipe to smoke at the Angels Strip Club to the sisters Baddie G and Jade, with whom the artist has had a long dispute, believing that the latter is her husband’s lover.
The judge issued last December a protection order for the sisters according to which Cardi B can not maintain physical contact with them or contact them online, after which he was released without bail.
