An Ariana Grande stellar closes the most Latin Coachella

Indio, .- Ariana Grande, with a stellar concert in which she had guests NSYNC, Nicki Minaj and Diddy, closed today Coachella, the prestigious Californian festival that in this edition has also surrendered to the strength and the global success of Latin music.

With the recital today of Bad Bunny, one of the most outstanding of the third and final day of the event, Coachella culminated three days with a lot of Hispanic flavor, since its stages were Latin artists such as J Balvin, Rosalía, Mon Laferte, Javiera Mena or Los Tucanes de Tijuana, and there were even some surprise performances like those of Ozuna, Cardi B and Selena Goméz singing “Taki Taki”.

But the last day of Coachella, which will be celebrated again in Indio next weekend with the same poster, was the reserved one with honors for Ariana Grande, the name in capital letters of this year’s festival.

Owner of one of the best voices of her generation and already a leading figure in world pop at age 25, Grande began to cappella her concert with “raindrops (an angel cried)” before releasing her first ace of the night, “God is a woman”.

With a scenario presided over by a huge sphere at the top, the singer played with sets that simulated “The Last Supper” or with a car in which a graffiti artist painted “Arichella”, possibly a reference to “Beychella”, which is like The Coachella of 2018 is known after the historical and monumental concert of Beyoncé.
The first big surprise of the night today was the appearance of NSYNC, without Justin Timberlake, who gave a good dose of nostalgia with songs like “Tearin ‘Up My Heart”.
And while Grande scored another good goal with “Side to Side” Nicki Minaj took the stage, who in addition to joining that song was encouraged with “Bang Bang”.

Although the performance lost a bit of rhythm after crossing the equator, the artist surrounded herself with a string group for “breathin” and then welcomed rappers Mase and Diddy, who paid tribute to their hip-hop companion. The Notorious BIG interpreting “Mo Money Mo Problems”.

With many attendees to Coachella already exhausted after 72 hours of partying, Grande ended his concert with the hand of unstoppable hits like “Into You” and “No Tears Left to Cry”, after which the singer offered “thank u, next “Like before the fireworks flew over the Californian desert.

In the middle of the afternoon it was the turn of the Puerto Rican Bad Bunny, who triumphed with his Latin trap in the biggest stage of Coachella and who had as a guest the Colombian J Balvin, who the previous day also swept in the same place.

“Thank you for everything, from my heart, for me it is great to be here, I feel very happy, very grateful to all of you, and (I am) very proud of what I represent, of the Latino community that has come far speaking the language that They speak in my country, and represent my island Puerto Rico and the Latinos in the whole world, “said the Puerto Rican.

Before a mostly Hispanic audience, “the bad rabbit” showed off with powerful and vibrant themes like “Te boté”, “MÍA”, “Sensualidad” or “I Like It”.

The farewell of Coachella, a festival referring to hippster taste and alternative culture, once again showed diversity with the Scottish synth-pop CHVRCHES, the R & B of the English Blood Orange, the “indie” of the Norwegian boy Pablo (whose singer, Pablo Muñoz, is of Chilean origin), or the psychedelic rock of the New Zealanders Unknown Mortal Orchestra.

In addition, the closing of Coachella had one more surprise: the unannounced appearance of Katy Perry during the performance of Zedd. (EFEUSA)
