Disney and Marvel prepare a limited series of Hawkeye with Jeremy Renner

 Los Angeles, .- The superhero Hawkeye, one of the characters of Avengers, will be the focal point of a limited series that Disney and Marvel prepare for the service of “streaming” (online broadcast) Disney + and that will feature the actor Jeremy Renner as the protagonist.

The specialized media Variety said today that this series of adventures will be joined to others that Disney is preparing to expand the Marvel film universe to the small screen.

In addition to this project on Hawkeye, the multimedia giant is working on other series about Loki (Tom Hiddleston, in the successful Marvel films), Scarlet Witch and Vision (Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, respectively), and Falcon and Winter Soldier (Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan).

Variety noted that one of the keys to the new series is that the character of Renner, Clint Barton by its common name, would pass the witness of his identity to the role of Kate Bishop, who in the comics has also been responsible for being Hawkeye.

The news of this new television project has been known less than three weeks before the premiere of “Avengers: Endgame”, the most anticipated film of the year in Hollywood and that will mark a point and separate in the ambitious narrative intertwined Marvel film universe.

In this film, number 22 of Marvel and closing the so-called “phase 3” of its complex and successful film project, the superheroes who are still alive after “Avengers: Infinity War” (2018) will try to defeat the evil one and, in Invincible appearance, Thanos (Josh Brolin).
