“Captain Marvel” signs the best national premiere since “The Incredibles 2”

 Los Angeles, .- “Captain Marvel”, the 21st film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this weekend signed the best premiere in national territory since the arrival of “The Incredibles 2” (June 2018) with an estimated collection of 153 million dollars.

In addition, it entered 302 million dollars in the rest of the world, reported today the Web Box Office Mojo, which noted that it is the sixth best global premiere in history (revenues in the country plus rest of the world) with 455 million.

The film focuses on the figure of the Air Force pilot Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), a woman who obtains a series of powers that make her one of the most powerful characters -perhaps, the most- of the Marvel Universe and that he must discover his true identity in full battle between two alien races.
Samuel L. Jackson, Jude Law, Ben Mendelsohn, Gemma Chan and Annette Bening complete the cast.

The second place was for “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World”, with 14.7 million dollars.

In the film, the young Viking Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) and his ally Astrid (America Ferrera), accompanied by their inseparable dragon Toothless, must face a terrible threat to their village, and for that they will have to leave behind the only home that They have known and traveled to a hidden world that seemed more myth than reality.
The third place was the comedy “A Madea Family Funeral”, with 12.05 million dollars.

In the latest installment of this popular saga, a family reunion becomes a nightmare when Madea (Tyler Perry) must organize a funeral at the last minute where they will unveil multiple secrets.

In the fourth position appears “The LEGO Movie 2”, with 3.8 million dollars for this animated film that tells how the citizens of Bricksburg face a new threat in the form of invaders from outer space that destroy everything in their path.

Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Tiffany Haddish and Stephanie Beatriz lend their voices to the protagonists in the original version.
The list completes “Alita: Battle Angel”, with 3.2 million dollars.

In the film, written and produced by James Cameron, the Spanish Rosa Salazar plays a cyborg who wakes up in a junkyard without any memory of his identity or the world he lives in. (EFEUSA)
