Tijuana (Mexico), .- The Argentine Ariel Nahuelpan, forward of the Mexican Tijuana Xolos, said on Tuesday that his team goes step by step, from less to more, looking for prominence in the Clausura 2019 tournament.
“We go step by step, match by match looking to grow the level, we come on a positive streak and the balance has gone from less to more,” said the attacker at a press conference.
Directed by the Colombian Óscar Pareja, the Xolos add five wins, a draw, three losses and 16 points and go in the fourth place of the tournament, which highlighted the attacker, who highlighted the confidence acquired by the group.
“As the games went by, we found confidence and we were able to achieve more than 50 percent of the points,” he said.
Nahuelpan scored a pair of goals last Friday to give the Xolos a 3-1 victory over the Atlas, his first notes of the championship, which ratify him as immovable in the lineup of Pareja.
Today the Xolos worked in Tijuana as part of the preparation of the match of the tenth day of the championship against Pachuca in the Hidalgo stadium, home of his rival.
“Lately I did not score, but we were winning, always helping the team with sacrifice and I had the opportunity to give some assists, my individual balance was always positive,” he said.
According to the South American, against Pachuca the Xolos will have to maintain the same style of play shown in their most recent duels to stay in the top of the standings. (EFE)
