Jennifer Aniston celebrates 50 years with an expected return to television

The small screen, the place where Jennifer Aniston was a queen with the series “Friends”, will reopen the doors to the actress, who will turn 50 this Monday while in full preparation of his expected return to television.

Aniston (Sherman Oaks, USA, 1969) organized a huge party on Saturday in Los Angeles (USA) attended by stars such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Katy Perry, George and Amal Clooney, Reese Witherspoon, Robert Downey Jr., Ellen DeGeneres, Barbra Streisand and Kate Hudson, reported on Sunday People magazine.

Although the anecdote for the pink press had the signature of Brad Pitt, who also attended the birthday of his ex-wife.
Beyond parties and gossip, the actress is topical for its announced return to the front of a series.

Hand in hand with the technological giant Apple, which has been planning its landing in the competitive world of television and “streaming” platforms, Aniston will be one of the protagonists of a series that will revolve around a morning news program, an genre with a great tradition in the United States.

Aniston, who will also be the executive producer of this still unnamed series, will have two Hollywood heavyweights: Reese Witherspoon, who comes to shine in “Big Little Lies”; and Steve Carell, still very remembered for his surreal adventures in “The Office”.

This series, which will have at least two seasons and twenty episodes, will not only be one of Apple’s major bets for television, but it is the first regular Aniston role on the small screen since “Friends”.

Next September will be 25 years of the first episode of this comedy, which closed in 2004 ten seasons of success after 236 episodes on the air, but “Friends” is still a phenomenon for countless fans around the world who are still willing to see, again and again, the adventures of Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Ross, Chandler and Joey.
Netflix has contributed to perpetuate the passion about “Friends” to surprising ends.

At the end of 2018, the rumor that “Friends” was going to leave the Netflix catalog spread through social networks surrounded by apocalyptic laments from its followers.

Fortunately, shortly after Netflix confirmed that “Friends” will continue in its offer at least during 2019, but for that had to open the bank: according to The New York Times, the digital platform paid 100 million dollars to Warner to keep the series during this year.

Of the six performers who brushed the sky with “Friends”, Aniston was the one with the most cards to become a star after the series.

However, the career in the theater of the performer did not finish taking off as high as pointed, although he tried alternating comedies for all audiences with tapes with a more “indie” air.

Thus, Aniston’s filmography includes films such as “The Good Girl” (2002), “Bruce Almighty” (2003), “Along Came Polly” (2004), “Horrible Bosses” (2011) and “Cake” (2014).

Last year he released Netflix the movie “Dumplin ‘”, which despite receiving good reviews failed to excel in the oceanic and unfathomable offer of this platform.

However, Aniston will have a new opportunity this year on Netflix thanks to the film “Murder Mystery”, where he will meet again with Adam Sandler after the feature film “Just Go With It” (2011).

Despite not having shone especially on the big screen, Aniston retains the hook and fame among the public, something that can be seen to see that was the third actress with more income in 2018, just behind Scarlett Johansson and Angelina Jolie.

The private life of Aniston has been, in addition, a habitual focus of the “paparazzi” and the press of the heart, that constantly has invented nonsensical rumors about sentimental relations or supposed pregnancies of the actress.
“We live in a society that tells women: ‘At this age you should be married, at this age you should have children,'” Aniston told Elle magazine last December.

“This is a fairy tale, that is the mold we are slowly trying to escape from,” added the artist, who has always tried to protect her private life and who does not have official profiles on Twitter or Instagram.

Aniston has been married twice: with Brad Pitt, from 2000 to 2005, and later with Justin Theroux, who was divorced at the end of 2017 after just over two years of marriage. (EFEUSA) .-
