Six injured, two seriously, in an accident on a roller coaster in Florida

Six people were injured, two of them seriously falling from a height of 34 feet (about 10 meters), after a mechanical failure on the roller coaster where they were assembled in the town of Daytona Beach, in northeast Florida, reported today. local media.

The two people who rushed to the void after derailing the roller coaster were rushed to the Halifax Health hospital, while the rest were rescued from the wagons by firefighters, picked up the local channel WKMG.

The events occurred on the night of yesterday when, still for unknown reasons, there was a mechanical failure on the roller coaster and derailed the carousel of the fair installed on the seafront of the aforementioned coastal city of Volusia County.

The two people who broke off and were dismissed were in the front van, which was left hanging in the void.

The firefighters had to use ladders and specialized rescue equipment to reach the ten people who were trapped in the roller coaster wagons.

The roller coaster is owned by the Daytona Beach Boardwalk Amusement Rides company, which also has attractions in North Carolina and South Carolina, the media added.
