Florida offer free services to attract weddings

The tourism office in the San Agustin area, Ponte Vedra and the beaches of northeastern Florida has launched an initiative that offers free services to facilitate bridal preparations for couples who choose that area to celebrate their wedding.

Wedding tourism attracts millions of dollars every year and in addition to the tourist and historical attractions of San Agustín, founded in 1565, and its surroundings, the tourist office offers a series of free services to achieve unforgettable celebrations.

The bride and groom will receive help to find accommodation and contact merchants and places for their event, as well as suggestions for personalizing any link, whether it is a large-scale event or an intimate gathering, reported the tourism office.

In San Agustín, the oldest uninterruptedly inhabited city in the country, 250 weddings take place every month. More than 450 years of history can be the setting for the perfect wedding, be it a ceremony under the stars, in a historical place, in a grand ballroom or perhaps on the beach during sunset.

The options are innumerable and can satisfy all tastes. For example, Villa Zorayda Museum, a nineteenth-century architectural masterpiece that is a scale replica of the palace of the Alhambra in Granada, Spain.

Another option can be Casa Mónica, a Moorish-style hotel built in 1888 and restored in 1999, which is listed in the national registry of historical places and in which luxury is combined with the charm of the Old World.

There are places of historical importance and origin of the oldest legends for the USA, such as the fountain of the youth of the conqueror Ponce de León in the area where the first settlement was in the country, 42 years before Jamestown and 55 years before from Plymouth Rock.

There is also the Basilica Cathedral, a Renaissance style colonial church built in 1797, a solemn and serene place to pronounce the vows.

Or the Lightner Museum, where guests can celebrate the marriage union with a Florida-style welcome, with mojitos and local cuisine at a reception surrounded by the elegance of the age of the Golden Age of the United States.

Unique attractions, cozy inns, museums and outdoor spaces provide a multitude of inspiring places to host from 10 to 1,500 people.

Although guests may have activities and functions to perform related to the wedding during their visit to the historic coast of Florida, they can also take advantage of their stay to explore the place on their own as a walk on historic St. George Street , a pedestrian street lined with unique shops, restaurants, museums and historical places.

For those in the group that wish to do physical activity is the lighthouse of San Agustín and its 219 steps to climb to the top and enjoy a spectacular view of the sea and the historic district of San Agustín.

Of course, the beach of Ponte Vedra is known for its beauty and well worth a walk on the sand. And if there are golfers in the group, they can cross one of the things on their wish list with a round of golf at the TPC Sawgrass Stadium field.

Then you can visit the Hall of Fame World Golf Hall of Fame golf, the only place in the world that consecrates the most important golfers in the world and shows the evolution of the game.
