The US Coast Guard recalled in a statement to all sailors of Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands that they respect the safety rules and be cautious in the face of the United States Independence Day holiday. July 4th.

In turn, they stressed that Coast Guard vessels will be patrolling to ensure safety in the water.
“While in the water, sailors must prepare and observe safe sailing practices at all times,” said Captain Eric King, San Juan sector commander of the US Coast Guard.
“Seafarers must wear their life jackets, do not handle their boats under the influence of alcohol, always check the weather forecast and sea conditions, as well as present a flotation plan and inspect their equipment before they start up.” He concluded.
