Corey Kluber does not give Vigilantes a choice, recipe 12 strikeouts and mark tie

Starter Corey Kluber spaced three undisputed goals and posted 12 strikeouts in eight innings of work on the mound to lead the Cleveland Indians’ 5-1 victory over the Texas Rangers.

Kluber (7-2) tied the franchise record in the hands of Bob Feller with four consecutive games in which he scored 10 strikeouts or more strikeouts.

Feller got double-digit punch numbers in his first three starts in 1938 and the first in 1939.

Now Kluber becomes part of the team’s history as well as having double-digit numbers in 30 exits to the mound as a professional.

Emergent Lonnie Chisenhall was in charge of putting the opportune bat when connecting double of two races in the sixth episode, when the Indians treaded three times the register.

Puerto Rican shortstop Francisco Lindor and Dominican outfielder Edwin Encarnacion raced for the Indians, who have won six of seven over the Rangers this season and are back in the American League Central Division with a 42-36 mark.

Again the Latin bat of the Indians was present with Lindor of 4-1, a towed one; Incarnation of 4-1, one annotated and one impelled and his countryman Jose Ramirez of 4-1, an annotated one.

The loss was left to starter Andrew Cashner (3-7), who was shoved in the right elbow by a broken bat in the sixth inning, and replaced a batter after.

Cashner was serving his first start since June 14 after being placed on the disabled list for an injury to the left oblique.

The defeat left the Rangers with a losing record of 39-40 and third in the West Division of the Young Circuit.
