Escort Eric Gordon takes the Sixth Player of the season award from the NBA

Reserve guard Eric Gordon of the Houston Rockets became the winner of the Sixth Player of the NBA season, according to the vote offered by the journalists who cover the daily information of the league.

Gordon, a shortstop specialist who also won the Triples Contest last weekend from the Stars, outpaced his teammate, fellow escort Lou Williams, who came on the team in the second Half of the competition traded by the Los Angeles Lakers.

While another guard, veteran Andre Iguodala, of the Golden State Warriors, the current league champions, was third in the vote.

Gordon and Williams ‘contributions were key to the Rockets’ triumphs, which ended the regular season with the third-best Western Conference and league record.

Within the playoff competition they were eliminated in the semi-finals by the San Antonio Spurs (2-4).

Gordon, 28, who came to the Rockets as a free agent in the summer of 2016 after playing for the New Orleans Pelicans, set his career high with 246 triples, fourth in the NBA standings.

But he got 206 as a reserve, the best mark in the three-point season since the 1979-80 season.

The award also allows Gordon to become the first Rocket player to get it.
