Warriors to a triumph of the NBA Finals; Cavaliers to two

The superiority of the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference finals was again evident with the victory (108-120) they made in the third game against the San Antonio Spurs and that keeps them unbeaten (11-0) In the final phase and 3-0 in the series.

The same thing happens in the Eastern Conference, where the Cavaliers are also unbeaten (10-0) in the playoffs and 2-0 in the playoffs of the Boston Celtics finals.

The Warriors’ high level of play and significant injury losses for the Spurs – Frenchman Tony Parker and forward Kawhi Leonard – made the Texan team’s mission even harder to win the third game after losing the Two top in Oakland.

But, as acknowledged by veteran Argentine guard Manu Ginobili, who at age 39 made history with another outstanding performance of 21 points, even with the presence of Leonard would have been difficult to win a rival who is currently above them.

“They are a very good team and, despite the losses we had, they showed on the field that they have all the elements to achieve the victories,” said Ginobili, who joined the legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the only player to 39 years old managed to score 20 or more points in a Conference final match.

The Spurs had taken a hit, but Golden State expected the winners of five NBA tournaments to stage a bitter fight in San Antonio.

However, the depth and talent of the Warriors decided the outcome rather quickly and confirmed that they are the team that already has more than half a ticket obtained to repeat NBA Finals for the third consecutive season.

Kevin Durant, the Warriors’ big acquisition during the summer break, confirmed his great courage as he finished with a double-double of 33 points, including 19 in the fourth quarter and 10 rebounds.

Durant as the rest of the Warriors admitted that the Spurs, despite the casualties, did not make things easy and from the beginning of the game played at the AT & T Center in San Antonio went out to fight and give everything in the field.

The key to the victory for Durant was never to lose concentration, to withstand the pressure of the Spurs and then to react with the consistency of their game.

Now, the Warriors will have the chance to get their third consecutive series on Monday in the fourth game. The Warriors are the third team in NBA history to win their first 11 games in the finals.

Midfielder Stephen Curry added 21 points and became the franchise’s all-time leading scorer in the playoffs as he beat Hall of Famer Rick Barry.

“Our goal is to win every game we can, regardless of the challenges we have to overcome as well as learn lessons that help us with victories, no matter what rival we have in front of us. Said Curry.

Meanwhile, the Cavaliers are looking for a new win tonight that puts them 3-0 in the play-off against Celtics at Cleveland’s QuickenLoans Arena.

In Boston, as a visiting team, they managed to score points scored in the competition of the final phase after having played the first two games of the tie, in Cleveland, if they propose, can do much more damage.

Especially because the Celtics come with nothing new to contribute to the poor performance they have had in the first two games and also with the indefinite decline of the team’s top scorer, Isaiah Thomas, who relapsed from an injury that suffers in the right hip And dragging since last March.
