Wood strikes a 10, tows race and defeats the Rockies

Starter Alex Wood struck out 10 batters in six innings, drove in a run and scored the Los Angeles Dodgers’ 4-0 win over the Colorado Rockies.

Wood (4-0) worked six innings, allowed five hits, gave a base and struck out 10 for the win.

In the attack he towed a run by striking sacrifice to third in the second episode.

Ranger Brett Eibner (1) hit back in the fifth inning, with no teammates ahead.

The Rockies lost with starting pitcher Tyler Anderson (2-4) in five 2/3 innings, conceding five hits, one homer and three runs.
