Boeing announces agreement with Flydubai for 27,000 million dollars

The low-cost company Flydubai agreed to purchase 225 Boeing 737 MAX 10 for a total value of 27,000 million dollars as part of the Dubai Air Show in the United Arab Emirates, the aeronautical company announced today.

The agreement involves the purchase of 175 aircraft of this model and purchase rights of another 50 more.

The Boeing 737 Max 10, a two-engine, single-aisle aircraft with capacity for 230 passengers, has an estimated price of about 125 million dollars.

“We welcome a long partnership with Boeing, whose aircraft have laid the foundations for the success of our business model, offering operational flexibility and range of action to create a network of 95 destinations in 44 countries,” said Sheikh Ahmed. bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of the company, in a statement from Boeing.

On behalf of Boeing, the president of commercial aircraft of the company, Kevin McAllis, was in an “extremely honest” statement to have been chosen by Flydubai “to be an exclusive operator for many years.”

Flydubai was founded in 2009 as a low cost company by the Emirati authorities to travel from the financial city of Dubai to multiple international destinations.

The announcement coincided with the achievement by Airbus of the largest order in the commercial aviation sector, selling 430 aircraft for the 49.500 million dollars to the Indigo group, which manages Frontier Airlines (USA), JetSMART (Chile), Volaris (Mexico) and Wizz Air (Hungary).
